OUR PHILOSOPHY

JUMPSTART is unique, because of its philosophy and thinking in how to help its students reach success. The underlying theory is for students to simply “come prepared for class”. The purpose of a teacher’s lecture is to guide a student’s learning after they have tried to understand the learning material themselves. This means that all students should read and try to understand the material before going to class to maximize their success. The principle behind all our method is the theory that:

"Learning anything a second time is always easier than the first time ..."

This is why students are always encouraged by their day school teachers to “come prepared for class” by learning the material before each class is taught.

JUMPSTART plays a critical role by preparing students for the learning and the marks that matter (marks recorded on a student permanent record). After students gain a strong foundation of subjects from JUMPSTART, they will be better prepared towards mastering the courses during their day school studies as well as apply such learnings to everyday life.
